The Technology Report should involve an in depth study of a current or emerging Information System/Technology.The idea is to study this particular IS or Technology with the business aspect in mind.It should not be ″just″ an explanation of the topic/technology being studied, but should also look at the business (and hence the MIS) implications. The paper should include all references, and should cite all published material used (even material obtained from the world-wide-web).
The chosen topic is smartphones. Specifically mobile information systems. Mobile information systems is information systems in which access to information resources and services is gained through end-user terminals that are easily movable in space, operable no matter what the location and typically, provided with wireless connection. This is important as the business world continues to evolve into a more technology dominated field. Smartphones are an essential part of business operations at all levels of a company. They allow for the communication and transformation of data immediately, from anywhere, at anytime.
