hello, so this paper attached was done by some other writer but they clearly did not follow instructions. instructions below:
Select one of the films below to watch and directly identify five key points made from a minimum of three or more chapters covered in your assigned readings (see Course Schedule). Each of these films raise many political talking points, i.e. “legislative action, ex. An Amendment, impactful event, ex. A Supreme Court ruling directly related to the subject of your movie, impactful incident, ex. It made history, or moment of reform, ex. It changed how we live”. The more textbook knowledge you have, the easier it will be for you to identify. You will be graded on the strength of your analysis.
Specifically analyze how the film presents, argues, or challenges your identified point
Write a cogent analysis that clearly reflects your understanding of said point of each point.
Each “Point” paragraph must be numbered, single spaced, one space between each
No DIRECT QUOTES are allowed from the film or textbook
At the end of each paragraph, parenthetically cite the textbook chapter and page number(s) to support your argument, example: (Chp. 8, p. 218-219)
“Point” Post Example: In the movie “Twelve Years A Slave” my five points of discussion would be- 1) Dred Scott vs. Sandford Supreme Court decision, 2) Slave Resistant, 3) Slave Punishment, 4) Free State vs Slave State and 5) 13th Amendment. I would first briefly discuss the specifics of the movie and how it relates, then elaborate by discussing how the textbook factually address the legislation/event/incident/or moment of reform. I would provide supporting details throughout to support a strong argument: examples, reasons, explanation, descriiptions. Lastly, I would give my opinion.
