In these three passages we see Jesus entering the temple area and driving out those who were buying and selling animals and changing money. What exactly was the ethical dilemma that Jesus was confronting? You will need to look beyond just these three scriiptures and ask yourself, “Why were they exchanging money in the temple courtyard,” and “why were they buying and selling animals,” if you are to grasp the true meaning. There is an ethical dilemma here that relates closely with accounting and the dilemmas that we face in the business marketplace. You may need to consult a commentary to get some ideas.
