INSTRUCTIONS: This project is to research the effectiveness and describe the impact of hand hygiene of healthcare professionals and patients on the development of central line-associated bloodstream infection (CLABSI) by reviewing the literature on this issue. Even though the United States is a developed country, the CLABSI problem is still relevant in the context of modern medicine. As a result of my research, the state of compliance with hand hygiene among patients and medical staff will be revealed, the causes of CLABSI will be found, the dependence of the occurrence of CLABSI on the number of patients and medical staff observing hand hygiene. I use a comprehensive patient assessment of the spread of infection and explore how hand hygiene practices can counter this risk to patient health. I will upload the instructions for this paper, the rubric, examples of capstone projects so you can be familiar with the format and what is needed exactly. I will also upload supporting documents about Central-line associated bloodstream infections. I also created a survey of 10 questions that I had two hospitals answer and I will upload those answered surveys. I will also give 10 links to sources that I would like for you to use in this research paper. In addition to the 10 sources I have provided, I would like an additional 10 sources making it 20 in all. The instructions are also asking that I correlate my previous class courses with my topic and how they relate and what I`ve learned.
