Data for the paper- Had 3 home visits with a client who is an active 80 year old gentleman (Mr. C.) Lives with his wife. Together they have 3 children and 6 grandchildren who visit at least 3 times a month. Has hypertension, well controlled, on metoprolol, and does not use any assistive devices for walking, has 12 exterior stairs, (front and back) 20 interior stairs his home 3- story house. Client has 7 rugs throughout his home (includes rugs in the 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 2 on the main level), has some clutter on main level only. Lighting is dim throughout the home. They are 4 landlines telephones with long extension wires in the home. The couple has a cleaning services that come in once a month to their home. Client agreed that there is a potential risk for falls and would like to learn more about prevention and resources available if possible.
