Assignment 1 – Research Paper
Every student chooses one cultural / creative arts-related organisation whose sources of information they can easily have access to. Apply a case study research method to the study of that organisation. (my personal preference is a European art organization)
Firstly, a research question will be defined which relates to a cultural management subject. After contextualising the topic (research question) and organisation, a section on methodology should be included, followed by results and discussion. The final section (conclusions / final remarks) should also point out to limitations and future research. This section can include recommendations (if relevant).
The context and further details will be discussed and decided with the whole class during the first workshop. The outcome should be a research paper which will be assessed with the criteria below. The paper should have 3.000 words (+/- 10%), excluding references and appendices.
