▸ If the requirements for the US president were removed (not 35, not a natural born citizen, not a 14
year resident) and you could have anyone run for president who would it be and why?
▸ Who has four guidelines:
1. Has to be a real person:
▸ No Power Rangers; you shall not pass, Gandalf; too bad Scooby Doo.
2. Needs to be a public person:
▸ Family is off limits. Your person of choice needs to be someone in the public domain that I
am able to go and research, if needed.
3. Needs to be alive:
▸ FDR, Hitler, George Washington, Martin Luther King Jr…. are not acceptable. Can’t be a
zombie president.
4. Has to be able to run:
▸ Can’t be in jail or anything that would otherwise prevent them from running. No
psychopathic or murderous candidates. Serial killers are right out.
▸ Here’s what you need to focus on:
▸ 1)What are their qualifications to be president/who they are?
▸ Background, personality, success, abilities…..
▸ What makes them suited and fit to be president?
▸ 2)What policies would they run on/what are their policy priorities?
▸ 2a)What would they DO as president?
▸ 2b)What legacy would they leave behind?
▸ 2c)How would they fix America?
▸ 3)Tell me who would vote for this person/who would NOT vote for this person.
▸ Who is their base?
▸ In essence, you need to sell their candidacy and explain why this person would be a good president
and why America should elect this person.
▸ Tell me why this person would be a good president.
