At least 1 highly credible source required.
Analyze and discuss one play, focusing on its central themes.
At least 2 scholarly sources required for literary analysis.
The library databases below are good places to find scholarly sources. And don’t be afraid to try the library’s chat function if you need additional assistance:
The Gale Literature Resource Center and Academic Search Premier.
You may also use the internet, but all sources must be thoroughly reliable and credible. Google Scholar can also be a good place to find credible sources.

OR
Select a theme, issue, or event and explore its connections to a play of your choice and its author.

Task:
Research the theme, issue, or event and create a presentation (same directions as above) that discusses it and explains its significance to the play.
Connect your analysis to some aspect of culture today.
You will need at least three scholarly (highly credible) sources for your research.

Requirements and Info
Create a PowerPoint presentation of at least 10-12 slides on the option you selected.
Your presentation should be engaging, informative, and original. It must provide your analysis—not just source information. Focus on key scenes.
The project will be scored on content, analysis, editing, organization, and visual appeal.
Be sure to acknowledge sources; a Works Cited slide at the end of the presentation is an easy way to do this. Citations must be in MLA format with hanging indents.
Most of the presentation should be your own words, but quote from the text and/or your sources to support key points.
If you use a source in a slide, it must be acknowledged on that slide so that it is always clear what belongs to a source and what belongs to you. Use a signal phrase naming the source, or. provide an MLA-style in-text citation.
If your presentation is a film, acknowledge your source in a signal phrase (for example, “The critic Joan Templeton argues A Doll’s House has nothing to do with feminism.”), then provide a list of works cited at the end.
If you use a source’s exact words, you must quote and acknowledge the source in the slide a signal phrase.
Your presentation must demonstrate that you actually read the text you selected.
Research for the presentation should come from the library’s online databases and holdings.
Sources (research) must be credible and written by experts in the field.
Do not use Internet sources such as Wikis, sparknotes, shmoop, enotes, goodreads, or study.com.
Assignments using inferior and unapproved sources will lose 20 points per source.
