Movie Analysis
This essay will be an analysis of the film “Get Out” by Jordan Peele. You will apply a critical theory called Critical Race Theory to this movie. You will examine how and why this specific lens “works with” and can be used to interpret “Get Out”.

Using a Critical Race Theory lens, Get Out reveals the exploitation of Black identity and the persistence of systemic racism, particularly through Peele’s use of symbolism and imagery to expose the disturbing lengths white characters will go to control and exploit Black individuals for their own personal gain.
