Human rights from an Islamic perspective
Again, the purpose of the Research Analysis assignment is to provide the opportunity to find scholarly research and to better understand the methods that were used in conducting that research. You will apply your understanding of the research design concepts you are learning in this course to the research conducted in the article you selected and compile a full research analysis.
You will now begin to structure and build your Research Analysis. This week you will complete Part 1 of the Research Analysis Project.
First, take your annotation from last week (just for the ONE article you have chosen) and turn it into an introduction section as a summary of the article. Be sure to incorporate any feedback you were given about your annotation and citation. You will add more to this section when submitting your final paper.
Next, below that, add an Identification of Variables heading. In this section of the analysis, you will:
1) Identify the variables they studied and the operational definitions used for each. There should be at least TWO- one for the independent vairable and one for the dependent variable OR one for each variable they are looking for a relationship between. (There may be other variables involved that need to be defined/measured as well.)
2) Discuss how EACH of the variables were measured and analyze the reliability and validity of EACH of those measurements.
Your “Identification of Variables” section should be 300 words or more and should include an APA Reference page with a citation for the article you found (updated based on feedback, if applicable). This should be on your bibliography assignment from last week, you are just moving it to it’s own Reference Page at the end of the document. You should also include in-text citations for both paraphrased and quoted material throughout your analysis. Only use direct quotes when absolutely necessary. For this assignment, there should be 1-2 quotes at maximum (if any). In order for you and I to know that you have understood what you have read, you need to be able to explain the research in YOUR OWN words!
