I have to turn my paper in sections. Please go by what I have already been doing. I have no sources but I need five to go along with my idea. I have attached what I have so far. I also attached the rubric and instructions as well. Please read these and be very detailed in this essay.
BOOK- Bogenschneider, K. (2014). Family policy matters: How policymaking affects families and what professionals can do (3rd ed.). New York: Taylor & Francis.
I have the ebook if you need access.
You will select a family policy topic early in the semester. The topic you select will be the foundation for your policy brief, as it will give you the state of the current law, bill, rule, regulation or program, depending on what you select to analyze. Review the literature relevant to your topic

to identify the historical, social, and political issues that might affect your policy brief topic (e.g., political movements, social trends, philosophies). Provide a description of the policy, law, rule or program and activities associated with it and consider its impact on families (e.g., consider the intended and unintended consequences of your chosen policy for family functioning and well-being).
I encourage you to selecting a topic as soon as possible. As you notice in the course outline, I have dedicated adequate time to this assignment by reviewing chapter 12 early in the semester and later on spending more time with chapters 12 and 13 to work on the policy brief. I will also provide samples from past students so you can get a better idea of the structure of this paper and what is expected. I will also provide ideas for your topic and I am always available to help. A handout with additional information will be posted on Blackboard along with sample papers.
Your policy brief should be APA style, 12 point, Times New Roman or Arial, double-space, checked for grammar and spelling errors, 1-inch margins. The policy brief will include a cover page, abstract, and 7 pages of body or the paper but no more than 8 pages. Additionally, you are required to use a minimum of 5 professional sources (refereed journal articles, book chapters) in your paper. You will use the textbook, but it does not count toward your 5 professional sources. You may cite all sources such as government institutions and publications, think tanks, and other related websites and develop a section for references in line with APA style. Please understand what plagiarism means and how to avoid it. All sources should be cited and referenced using APA format. If you are not familiar with this format, please visit with resources at the UCM Library and online (and resources posted on the Start Here page). The list of references is not included in the paper length requirements. This paper should be your own work, not a collaborative effort. Acts of plagiarism, whether intentional or unintentional, will be dealt with according to university policy.
