Students should turn in a list of 5-8 scholarly resources as an addendum to their one- page research selection and list of questions (aka proposal). When preparing this assignment, the following guidelines should be followed:
• The list of 5-8 sources should be from the world of contemporary scholarship, consisting of commentaries, books, and/or articles about the particular book, passage that the student is treating.
As a result, the following sources should be completely avoided: Internet Sources (other than articles downloaded from the ATLA database); Whole-Bible Commentaries (Matthew Henry, etc.); works published before 1970 unless approved by the instructor; Study Bibles

(2+)
Commentaries on Galatians or Romans
o New International Commentary on the New Testament (Bruce, etc.)
o Word Biblical Commentary (Dunn, etc.)
o Socio-rhetorical Commentary series by Witherington
o New American Commentary (Mounce, etc.)
o MANY more….
(2) Scholarly

· Bibles

· The best place to obtain commentaries and books on Romans is Galatians is a theological library.
·Scholarly journal articles can be downloaded for free using the ATLA database. Students have this access through the Lee University Library.
