Using the attached guidelines, write an essay in which you illustrate several reasons why your topic for the final research paper is relevant today. • Start with an introductory paragraph. • After the introduction, provide at least five reasons why for each explanation/illustration. • Spend a paragraph on each reason. • Remember to move from the least significant to the most significant before you get to your conclusion. • This might take a bit of planning on your part. • Provide a conclusion. • Revisit your thesis and main points • Offer closing comments (plural —more than one sentence). • Don’t quote someone else to close out this essay. Requirements: • 4-7 pages in length. • Provide at least 3 sources to quote from in this essay in support of your reasons/illustrations why your topic is relevant. • No blogs • No Wikipedia • No “pedias” at all (Encyclopedias, etc) • No dictionaries. • If you need to provide a definition, try finding a source of the peer-reviewed variety. • MLA style formatting only. No APA (no cover page, no abstract, no tables, no charts, no footnotes, no endnotes, ete). • Provide a Works Cited page in MLA format for sources used in your work. • Remember to list sources alphabetically by author last name
