Answer one of the following questions. All essays must be at least four- five pages
typed (double-spaced). The essays must be completed according to the MLA format,
have citations (text references) and a Works Cited Page that consists of at least three
references. References such as Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Cliff Notes, or Spark Notes
are not acceptable! Students, who do not follow the MLA format, have Text References

Absolutism in France.

3. Analyze the ways in which Enlightenment thought addressed religious beliefs and

third-rate power. Describe and analyze the major social, economic, and political
reasons for Spain’s rise and fall.
