Discuss one of the early Meccan surahs that Michael Sells translates and provides a commentary for. How can the text be interpreted? Pay attention to the ideas, imagery, and sound quality of the surah (as explained by Sells).

You must include both the author’s last name and the page number or numbers your information is from

Direct quotes, enclosed in quotation marks (check to makes sure the quote is correct)
If you paraphrase any passage from the source
