In Times New Roman, 12 font, double spaced and 4 to 6 pages, respond to the following prompts, remember to that you are
expected to integrate (synthesize and reference) materials from lessons, articles and videos when formulating answers:
Part 1 – Of the articles in module 3, choose three articles and a video. What do they reveal about grief, trauma, healing or resilience? How does economic inequality, global economic interdependence, racism, violence, natural disasters, terrorism, and /or war shape our experience of grief, trauma and resilience in family life, in your own life and greater society? Use materials in the course to support your answer.
Part 2 – Of the articles in module 2, choose two articles and a video. Discuss the role of marriage in the 21st century? Does confronting the social forces of “divorce” make for a better marriage or is that all we really need is love, could it solve the problems faced by the families? Why or why not? Also, consider marriage as a commitment, sacrament or and/or legal contract.
Part 3 – Of the articles in module 1, choose three and a video. Compare and contrast the articles, show what they reveal about creating family and the changing cultural expectations of parenthood, fatherhood and/or motherhood.
Part 4, Final – Upon reflection on materials from lessons, articles and videos explain shifts in perspectives or understanding. Explain broader social contexts that are significant to your perspectives and personal development, lessons, connections and opportunity for growth or foreseeable challenges that are significant to your life story in American culture, family and relationships.
