“For this essay, I want you to discuss how a poet explores or describes the world OR how an idea or theme is explored by multiple poets. Either way, you will need to discuss at least 3 poems in detail and show how the poems you’ve chosen support the thesis you develop. You will need to choose poems or poets from the ones we’ve read in this class or that are in the textbook.
This means you are either looking at 3 poems from the same poet OR 3 from different poets with similar themes.
Identify the themes or ideas you wish to focus on and then help your reader understand how those poems explore the ideas you have identified. Assume your classmates (11th/12th grade) are your audience.”
