The purpose (thesis) of your essay should answer the question:
1. What is your mindset? When is a time you acted out this mindset? (Is it growth? Fixed? A blend?)
Note: Choose one experience that shows your mindset. It should be one event that took place over a relatively short amount of time (which means it could develop in a span of a few hours- few days).
2. Define the mindsets so that an unfamiliar reader would understand what having fixed or growth mindset means.
3. Tell a story that is one event or situation that you can go into vivid detail about so the reader sees your mindset through your thoughts, actions, interactions, and sensory description. Be sure to include dates, characters, and your thoughts while you were experiencing this event (again, the even should be specific and no more than a few days in length.)
4. Provide closure by look to the future: How will knowing your mindset help in with challenges throughout college? AND What is your future career or career field? Will your mindset help you be successful there
