The play “A Doll House” has any number of symbols in it. Here’s your chance to get creative.
I would like you to pick a symbol from the play that you think is central to your interpretation of it. You need to do 4 things:
Draw a picture of the symbol and upload to the discussion (take pic with your phone and send to your email might be easiest) – you should see the little attach button – and please don’t get caught up in whether or not you’re an artist; this is just supposed to be fun,
After attaching the picture, type in the box your explanation for why this symbol is central to your interpretation of the play – which means you have to have a good handle on what you think is your interpretation of the play,
Include a quotation, if you can find one, that mentions that symbol – or something close enough – to use as evidence, and
Finally, take a look at other students’ pictures and comment on at least two of them – not the quality of the drawing, but the symbol and the explanation of the central idea of the play.
