Utilizing one of the interview protocols reviewed in-class or a list of your own questions:
Identify an individual (student with exceptionalities, parent or a special education teacher – if you are having a difficult time finding someone, you may interview your own parents about your past education)
Request 20-30 minutes of their time to interview them
Create a list of questions or one of the protocols (Include your questions in your submission)
Include as one of your questions: What does the word Disability mean to you?
Complete your interview, taking notes during the process (Include your notes in your submission)
Write a reflection regarding your personal reactions. (Include your reflection in your submission; be sure to reference 3-5 sources from the learning content in your reflection)
Describe what you learned, what was important for you about this interview process.
What was this experience like for you personally?
What did you think and feel about it?
What aspects of the interview aligned with themes, concepts, ideas from the course learning content?
