This project aims to persuade the panel with the most promising business idea.
we will undertake an intensive venture creation business plan to introduce you to real life (albeit
compressed and focused).
You will submit a report business plan and presentation, which summarizes;
the outcome of the written business plan. More details will be provided below.
• Introduction (problem and solutions, value proposition, founding person)
• Market Entry (Marketing opportunity: how will you get to the customers and create
demand? who will be your first set of customers? And what is the market size?)?
• Competitive analysis (Porter’s five forces).
• Economics of the Business and Operation (Pricing, Revenue Forecasting ‘5 Year Financial
Plan’, Breakeven Analysis))
• Business modal Canvas
• Conclusion (exit plan)
• References.
You will be required to hand in an electronic version of your business plan, and PowerPoint slides. The electronic versions must be in PPT or Word doc.
The project is basically an app that tells you how much you spending, and it will suggest to you how to save money. for example the app will ask you how much you make a month, if your salary is 10k Saudi Riyals a month, for example, do you have other commitments mortgage, etc, then it will suggest to you to have how much you willing to save if you spent this X amount and shows percentage. The other main focus of the app is to have an investment wallet inside the app whatever you save you can invest in Saudi stock. The app will feature in-store ads financing plans for individuals.
The main tweak is the subscriiption modal suggests 3 to 4 ways of generating revenue according to the guideline. Note the subscriiption model is having a 1-month free trial then applies for the payment, or if you see people will create another user to the service suggest something else, or have them access all features like analytics, and future investment recommendations for example. Note you have to follow Saudi laws of stocks.
If you are going to research, search STC pay, and Saudi Tadawul (stock exchange) to get familiarized and apply them to the project and questions attached accordingly, and make sure the financial plan is solid as well.
