1)After reviewing all of Week Twos content, discuss at least 5 storytelling/narrative/plot devices or editing choices that you have seen in recent films or TV shows. Consider how these devices or choices help to drive the story. Are these narrative techniques evident in any of Week Twos viewing materials?
For example: In Walk, – You, Walk! (1912) Rose gets the help of friends to teach someone who mistreated her a lesson. This is a common plot device in todays situation comedies.
Respond to at least two of your fellow classmates.

After watching The Gold Rush (Chaplin, 1925), compare the content and style with modern comedy films. Focus on the physicality of the performers and the visual style rather than the absence of dialogue.
Are there any physical comedians today that compare to Chaplin? Do modern comedies have the same blend of comedy and romance? How do you feel the humor of silent comedies holds up to modern audiences?
