For Assessment 3, you are tasked to produce an individual video presentation that is 7 minutes in length (+/- 30 seconds) in addressing questions specified on the assessment task sheet.
Notes – read these carefully!
The presentation must be uploaded in MP4 format or a link can be shared via Microsoft streams. The slides must also be uploaded in PowerPoint/PDF format. Other formats are not accepted.
For this task, you will submit your work as a 7-minute presentation as an MP4 that you upload to Learning@Griffith. Alternatively, you can use Microsoft stream to share your video.
If you do use stream, please remember to click on the option “allow everyone in your company to view this video”. If this option is not enabled, we will not be able to accept your video. Detailed Instructions are provided in the “how to make videos?” folder.
Uploads via YouTube and other platforms/formats will not be accepted.
The maximum number of slides is 10, including the title slide and a slide at the end to list the references. You will then need to then record yourself presenting your slides and upload the MP4. The slides must contain a Bibliography of academic references used in the presentation. You do not have to present the academic references in the actual video. The video must show your face in order to assess your communication skills.
In terms of naming the file, please use the following convention: [Last name_first initial].pptx for the PowerPoint/PDF and [Last name_first initial].mp4 for the video
To help you with Question 3 we have downloaded files from the National Census to help you conduct research on your region.
Question 3 requires you to do some research about what types of vulnerable household as located in your segment & think about which initiative can reduce socioeconomic disadvantage.
The attached files contain census data for each of the regions – and have been dowloaded from here:

The files contain information on unemployment levels, income, education, number of homeless, internet access, Indigenous population, socieconomic disadvantage in each region . note the data also provide a comparison to Queensland (State level) figures.
