Art & Copy is a film about the relationship between the idealism and creativity of advertising agencies and their clients. In many ways, the agency is the meme maker, the viral concept designer, and the thought provoker.
After reading Sivulka Chapters 6 and 7, watch Art & Copy, write a short response (minumum 5-6 paragraphs) about one of the ads you saw in the film and how it spoke the cultural moment in which it was created. You must use a quote or reference from the film and connect it to an explanation provided in Soap, Sex and Cigarettes. You may bring in a third source if you’d like if Sivulka isn’t as good as a source as you may need, but it is not required.
