Title page (APA style)
2. Introduction Introduction must be at least three full pages of writing not including the
title page and the reference page. (Longer is very acceptable, shorter is
not).
2. One inch margins, double spaced, 12 point font, all headings according
to APA format. Do not leave extra lines between paragraphs or at the top
of the paper. Be sure running heads and page numbers are correctly
formatted.
3. Introduction should introduce the area of psychology and the subject of
your paper to the reader. It should contain the background to both, so the
reader will understand what your paper is about and how the area and
subject are connected. It should start with the general and go to the
specific.
4. According to APA format, the introduction of a paper DOES NOT have a
heading. Just start writing.
3. References Cited: When you make a statement of fact you must reference it with
a citation from a peer reviewed journal. Be sure they are in APA format.
4. Be sure the cited references are properly written in APA format in a reference
section. Every citation in your paper should be matched with a reference in this
section.
5. Make sure that all headings and subheadings are in APA format. See APA
manual for guidance.
