The second component of this assignment asks students to find an example of cultural bias in their everyday lives. This can be a movie, book, advertisement, music video, meme, comic, textbook, anything that speaks to the student. Students should then redesign their chosen selection to minimize the influence of cultural bias and emphasize critical reflection. For example, they could rewrite the lyrics of a song, create a book cover, redesign a movie poster or trailer, etc. Feel free to flex your creativity and do something that resonates with you. What is important is that the information you provide in your piece is concise, accurate, and easily understood. Be sure to include both the original piece of media as well as the redesigned version. Please include a short (one page maximum) paper explaining the changes you have made and why. I will attach a copy of the exact instructions that need to be followed.
