Write a 1-2 page analytical essay about the narrative, “Girl.” There should be an Introduction, a Body, and a Conclusion. Make a list to brainstorm ideas beforehand. Follow the format of Transition, Idea, Explanation, Example, Big Finish for each paragraph for the Body. Try to zero in on a specific “scene” in the narrative, explain why it’s happening (The obvious reason), and then what’s really behind it (The hidden motivation/what the character gains/how the character sees him or herself and the image he/she wants to proejct to the world/the idea behind the situation.
