Marginalized Populations
Autism in girls
Research a specific social identity group that has been historically or currently marginalized or underrepresented. Including the following information:
-a summary of research literature identifying barriers of access,
-equity and success for that group,
– and propose one or more actions/strategies counselors can take related to intervening with student academic performance
-student engagement,
-student discipline,
– school culture,
-family involvement,
– and other programmatic supports in the school for the purposes of providing equitable access for that specific group.
