• 3-5 full pages. Must be three full pages to receive full credit, which means the essay must spill onto the top of page four to be considered three full pages.
• Just your name is required on the top of page 1. Do not put anything other than your name.
• Use proper source citation where needed
• DO NOT CUT AND PASTE!!!
• 12 point font
• Indent paragraphs
• Times New Roman
• Normal 1” margins
• Double spaced (don’t double space between paragraphs)
• Use correct, standard American English spelling, grammar, punctuation, including complete sentences.
• Do not use colloquial or slang expressions or expletives.
• Do not use first or second person pronouns (except when I ask for it).
• Do not refer to a historical persons or the author by his or her first name or nickname.
• Do not use exclamation points.
• Do not ask rhetorical questions.
• Do not use contractions.
• Avoid unnecessary capitalization.
• Do not shift verb tense.
• Do not end a sentence with a preposition.
• Do not begin a sentence with a conjunction.
