Background. Personality refers to an individuals unique characteristics, behaviors, thoughts, and feelings. Research indicates that genetics, abuse, other life experiences, and factors contribute to the development of personality disorders and psychopathy.
Your goal. There are two parts to this assignment and each part must be answered thoroughly.
The total assignment should be 7 pages in length (excluding the cover page and reference page).
Part One:
Choose two of the following theories and apply them to the life of a serial killer or famous person (celebrity). Compare and contrast the two theories and explain how each theory applies or could apply to the personality development of the person you choose:
Psychoanalytic
Humanistic
Trait
Neoanalytic
Self-concept theory
Social cognitive theory
Part Two:
For the two theories you selected above in part one, explain the theories relevance to/the consideration of culture and diversity. Explain your rationale.
Please note:
You are required to select a minimum of three research articles taken from scholarly journals that are relevant to the two theories chosen for this assignment.
You are encouraged to utilize the Calsouthern Library to access evidence-based resources. Be sure to include in-text citations and references for all resources.
Your paper should be written at the graduate level, in APA 7th edition format. Your submission should be free of plagiarism, as well as grammatical and spelling errors.
You must demonstrate your understanding and application of the research to the chosen person of interest.
