Read as many of the articles as you can; try to read a couple from each ‘category’ of ideology….Continue to address the questions in Part 1. Also consider whether the economic or cultural appeal of ideologies is more powerful. Let’s think about this particularly in light of the divisions in our contemporary world. Is it ‘cultural’ ideology or economic ideology that drives political action? For example would you argue that Trump’s or Florida’s Governor DeSantis ideological appeals are driven more by psychological and cultural issues or economic ones? Do ideologies in order to be successful require an undercurrent of violence? Are people attracted more to ideologies because of emotion or reason? Or a combination of the two?
