Use at least 10 peer- reviewed research articles from the academic literature. Make every effort to identify some of the most current research on your topic. The literature review should address: The existing thinking or understanding of the research problem – by provide summaries of research articles. Gaps in knowledge that still exist – by addressing limitations of studies you have reviewed. Here is an example if the formatting/headings: Page 1: Title, student name etc (similar to Worksheet 1) Page 2: Abstract (present a paragraph of your take on the review of the 10 articles and what you want the readers to know about the purpose of your review) Page 3: Title again, followed by: Introduction- what is the research problem? why your topic is important?; this is considered the page 1 of your 5 pages limit Heading 1 for your topic (if any)- you can start with addressing the main contruct of your research question, for example relational trauma, stress among… etc. Heading 2 for your topic (if any)- you may talk about the population of studied or emplyed in the studies, etc Heading 3 for your topic (if any)- you could briefly dicuss the methods used, measurements used, issues with measurements etc.. Limitations- summarize the limitations mentioned in all the 10 articles. You do not have to mention each and every one but prioritize and club them and cite the authors who mention those in brackets) Conclusion- refer to your introduction and abstract and summarize again why your topic is important given the existing literature and its gaps; Please make sure the articles are from journals and not unscientic sourcses.
