First, read our documents in the module and browse the assigned reading in our online texts beginning the activity. Second, do a quick read of the Georgia Milestones Brief before proceeding to the selected pages in the Milestones Technical Report to complete the activity. The Milestones Brief contains some basic information about test development along with test validity and reliability, but the Milestones Brief contains incomplete information. Finally, the submitted document should be five double-spaced pages (minimum) in length.
Please use subheadings to indicate the different sections in the document. Discuss the following about the Georgia Milestones Assessment (GMA):
Item and Test Development (After reading pages 1121 in the Milestones Operational Technical Report, generate a one-page discussion of how the items and the test are developed)
Reliability (After reading pages 148158 and 176-177 in the Milestones Operational Technical Report, generate a two-page discussion of the types of reliability employed along with examples of the evidence presented). Evidence should include wording and/or numerical values as deemed appropriate.
Validity (After reading pages 159172 and 177178 in the Milestones Operational Technical Report, generate a two-page discussion of the types of validity employed along with examples of the evidence presented). Evidence should include wording and/or numerical values as deemed appropriate.
Evaluation: Up to one point can be earned for the item and test development section. Up to five points (i.e., 2.5 points each section) can be earned for the types of validity and the types of reliability presented along with the evidence presented. Deductions may include partial points deducted if the document is not organized properly, while a greater deduction will occur if a section has insufficient detail.
