Informative Speech
Specific Requirements:
Present information that the audience will find useful or interesting.
Conduct research on your topic and select a minimum of five sources (no older than five years old) to give your speech substance. Your references may come from newspapers, magazines, peer-reviewed academic journals, books, and credible websites (no more than two websites are permitted for this speech).
Wikipedia is NOT a credible source and may not be used for this assignment. Dictionaries and Encyclopedias will not be counted as sources. Copies of all material cited in your bibliography must be turned in to Brightspace along with your Presentation Outline (or you will lose 20 points).
Develop a Presentation Outline following the provided format (same one from the Ceremonial Speech):
Create a Central Idea (thesis) that meets the criteria discussed in the textbook (full sentence, one distinct idea, etc.) and it should fit one of the organizational patterns from the textbook;
Write two or three main points. Main points should meet course criteria (balanced, full sentences, etc.);
Present well-reasoned and well-documented evidence to support your main points;
Appropriate development of an introduction and conclusion;
Demonstrate skillful use of transitions;
Include a bibliography in APA Format.
