Tasks
In the first half of the semester, you will be responding to several discussion boards, each addressing an aspect of social inequality. Included in several of these boards will be an existing policy that you will need to critique. The boards that relate to policy will be specifically denoted as a Policy Board. In your first Policy Board, you will respond to at least two other classmates randomly. After that, I will organize each Policy Board based on those groups.
Beginning in Week 10, you will be working in groups to begin to develop your own policy. You will create a list of group norms that will give direction to the overall group, and you will be given the opportunity to meet via Zoom.
Your final project will be due in Week 15. The project will culminate in a written piece and a PowerPoint. The written piece will include a detailed description of the policy, and the PowerPoint will include the most important aspects of the policy. Examples will be given.
