The level of maturity in the
software analysis and design process varies between organizations and by
the selected SEM. In any case, the goals of analysis and design should
not be compromised.
This week, you will examine the steps that are
part of the analysis and design process, and develop a process that
aligns with a selected SEM.
To prepare:
Read Chapter 13, Section 1 in your course text.
Submit a document in which you address the following:
Compare and contrast the different steps in the software analysis
and design process and explain why each is appropriate in a QMS. Justify
your thoughts.
Develop a process for implementing software architecture and design
for the case organization, explaining considerations that must be
explored, how evaluation will be documented, and how decisions will be
verified and documented.
Ensure that your process is consistent with a variety of SEMs evaluated in week two. Justify your thoughts.
Using the defined process, select a software architecture for the case organization. Justify your selection.
