Research paper: You will write a 7-8 pages (of text) research paper. The paper must be
fully cited and include academic sources, only. You can focus on any sociological topic
related to religion. For example, you might write on how religion influences political
behavior in the United States. You could write about a particular sect, such as the Amish,
and how they construct their social world heavily rooted in religion. Or you could write
about the role of gender in shaping religion. You will also provide a power point
presentation of your paper. You can make that presentation as you best see fit on how you
would convey your information to others.
