Have any of you watched a movie where a lot of damage occurs? Most of the time, the good guys defeat the bad guys in the film, but what gets glossed over is the amount of damage and destruction throughout the movie.
For this assignment, answer the following questions:
Identify one movie of your choice and describe one scene from that film in question. Be sure to describe the scene so that any reader can follow along. (10 points)
Imagine that this scene is grounded in the real world, where there is usually some government interaction. Identify THREE government agencies that would be directly involved in that scene. HINT: While you may select any movie, this type of assignment may work best when the film depicts a superhero/crime fighter fighting against a villain. Or a movie that presents a major natural disaster and subsequent response. (10 points)
Based on your research, would these changes in the movie make you more likely to watch such a film? Or would it make you less likely? Explain your answer. (10 points)
Additional Paper Format: double-spaced Microsoft Word, Times New Roman, and 12-point fonts.
Length: 3-4 pages excluding a “References” page; Reference page should follow MLA style.*
Make sure your paper is on topic and written concisely, and proofread thoroughly. The more grammatical and punctuation errors found in your papers, the harder it is for me to read the content in your essay, thus, resulting in a lower paper grade.
Submission: an electronic copy of your paper must be submitted on Canvas. Upon submission, your report will be synced with the turnitin.com software to guard against plagiarism. Your best protection against plagiarism is to ultimately minimize, if not eliminate, all usage of direct quotes.
Assume that the stated due date is a hard and firm deadline. NO EXCEPTIONS! A late penalty will be enforced for all papers not turned in by the stated deadline.
This is not an opinion survey. Your answers to the exam questions need to be research-based using fact-based sources. For each of your three essay answers, you must use two sources to back up your work in the answer. One of those may be your textbook. That means your response to your first exam question. You must have two sources at a minimum included in your answer. The same goes for answers two and three. That means you will have a total of at least six sources. These sources must be cited in the answer, and you must have a reference list for each one (see previous examples in the announcements).
For all of the information for your post or reply that is not an original thought, you must provide a citation for the use of that information and a reference list at the end of your response.
