Assessment 1: Short essay on issues with media systems (1500 words) 10%
The short essay gives you the opportunity to reflect on content covered in the first part of the unit, which surveys the different aspects of media systems.
The focus here is on analysing change: the new interactions and overlaps across and between national media systems, in the context of the rise of platforms, and how these create new issues, opportunities, tensions, and possibilities.
Drawing on course theory and terminology is essential, as is doing further research across the extended reading lists, journal articles, and reliable websites (an example list will be uploaded HERE in week 6).
