Your test will be the following. Please read ALL DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY. You may use your book, notes, and word lists. You must take and finish this test during school on Friday, April 15th….if you are at school and do not take it, you will receive a zero…if you miss school, you will take a make up version of the test on Tuesday next week.
The idea behind this test is simple. You will write 10 sentences (or less if you can effectively combine more than one word into a sentence) using the following words from lists 13-19:
emancipate
precarious
grotesque
provocative
plight
verbose
sordid
rancor
dilapidated
coalition
For each sentence, you must connect the words to something in Their Eyes Were Watching God…your choice, but you must show knowledge and understanding of what we have covered this week in class. You will receive all of your points if you:
1. Use each word from the list provided. Be sure bold/underline your vocab word when you use it
2. Spell the words correctly.
3. Use correct grammar.
4. Effectively relate the words some aspect of what we have read about so far this week in Their Eyes Were Watching God.
