In this class, we’ve looked at a number of different arguments both for and against the existence of God. Choose one of these arguments: either an argument for theism, or an argument for atheism.* Reconstruct the argument that you’ve chosen, being sure to explain the reasoning behind that argument. Then outline what you take to be the strongest objection to the argument. On balance, do you think that the argument that you’ve reconstructed is successful? Why, or why not?
*For this topic, you may not choose the logical problem of evil, the problem of divine hiddenness, and the problem of omniscience and freedom, for reasons that will be clear once you look at topic 2. Other than those, you are welcome to choose any argument.
