• Research paper must be submitted as a Microsoft Word document. I will not accept any other format (ex: no PDF files).
• Calibri (11-point font size) or Times New Roman (12-point font size)

TITLE PAGE:
The title page consists of:
• Paper title (clearly states intention of the paper, no more than 10-12 words)
• Author (your name)
• Your department and institutional affiliation (Example: College of Nursing, Sullivan University)
• The course number and course name (Example: BIO201: Medical Microbiology)
• Instructor name

MAIN BODY:
• Introduction (Provides an overview of the topic and states the intention of the research paper)
• Laboratory Identification and pathogen characteristics of the disease-causing microorganism
• Interaction between the disease-causing microorganism, hosts and environments
• Pathogen virulence
• Disease carriers (source of the pathogen/reservoirs of infection)
• Mode(s) of transmission/Portal(s) of entry and/or exit for the disease-causing microorganism
• Incubation period
• Signs/symptoms of disease
• Susceptibility of the host/Target population
