Enhancing Peer Collaboration Through Supportive Communication
Supportive communication is a means of interpersonal interaction with others. Through supportive communication, the sender conveys a message of encouragement or support when offering constructive feedback. Supportive communication should be problem-, not person-oriented; descriptive, not evaluative; validating, not invalidating; specific, not global; and listening, not one-way (Gradinaru, 2019).
