Desсrіption: An op-ed (literally, published opposite the editorials) is an opinion essay published in a newspaper that identifies a policy problem and communicates an argument or position on that problem. Your opinion essay should focus upon a substantive topic detailed in any of the substantive units of this class (see syllabus and D2L page for details of the topics of the class). Details: Your essay should: Identify a policy problem. This should clearly relate to international relations, which means that at least two countries are involved and affected by the problem. Discuss some of the root causes of the identified problem. Propose at least one potential solution to the problem, discussing how this solution addresses the problem and its root causes.
