Instead of using a classroom setting please writer it for a small group setting of 5-6 students. Also, I mainly work with children that have ADHD, Autism and are elopement risks (running from the classroom) Behavior Plan Observation & Data Collection Design a Classroom (small group) Behavior Management Plan that includes the components listed below. When writing this paper, you are giving an overview of what you would like your current or future classroom to look like in regard to behavior. Be sure to cite your text (use information from your text in your plan). You are sharing your intentional plan to enhance the learning environment. This paper should be 8 – 10 pages in length. Make sure that you included each section required in this paper. Make an outline of this assignment and follow it as you write your paper. APA format. See below for details of the assignment expectations. Design a Classroom Behavior Management Plans that includes the following components: 1. In a paragraph or two, describe the classroom setting and the steps you take to manage the setting (arrangements of seats, displays, noise level, etc.) in a manner that enhances student behavior and achievement. You may include a picture of the classroom, remembering to describe why you have it set up the way you do. For example, if you have a runner in the classroom, perhaps sitting him in front of the class, away from the door is a good idea. If you have a student diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), you probably would not have him sit by the window, etc. 2. In a paragraph, describe your classroom rules and how they are developed and presented to the class. You should have specific rules that are observable and measurable. Something like raising your hand before you speak is observable and measurable. RESPECTING others is not observable and measurable as everyone has a different understanding about what the definition of respect is and what it means. 3. In no more than 3 paragraphs, describe at least one positive reinforcement system that you would like to use in your classroom. Explain why you prefer this system and how it works so that others could use this system if they read your description. Please remember that this is a positive plan. How do you reinforce appropriate behaviors, how often do you reinforce them, and what exactly are you looking for in their behaviors? 4. In a paragraph or two explain how teacher traits/behaviors may at times be the antecedent to a student’s behavior. How do our personality/gifts, learning/teaching styles, etc. impact students, positively and negatively? The teacher sets the scene in any classroom. If you are negative or angry – things will go badly. If you are positive and passionate so are your students. Explain how teacher awareness of these issues may impact positively in the classroom. 5. In a paragraph explain how what you learned about student personality, motivation & gifts (LOD) can help you be a better teacher. How can you improve instruction and behavior by knowing your students’ gifts. 6. How does LOD change your perspective of diversity? Write a paragraph about God’s view of diversity (review the diversity chapter in the text) and how LOD can help us be better teachers with regard to diversity. 7. Student observation, data collection & analysis – Choose one student and provide an analysis of this student using student observations (records, what you see in class, personality, motivation levels, etc.). Assume you are explaining this student’s strengths and weaknesses to a new student teacher. Write your analysis so that this student teacher will better understand how to deal with behaviors and academic needs for this student based on their personal needs (academic, personality, etc.) For the observation/data collection, [pick one student with ONE behavior) and take data for three days over one-hour period. Include any data or information that might be found in the records or that you have from your classroom assessments or the surveys you did from LOD. Make a chart with that data, identifying the one behavior that you observed. Please do an Abstract, an introduction and closing to the paper and use APA format for references. Information on APA style can be found online. ALWAYS have a cover page for all of your work.
