Credit Report Assignment
Your credit report is a record of your current and past debt, as well as your payment history. It’s important because it can impact many parts of your life, including your ability to rent an apartment, buy a house or car, get a loan, what interest rate you’re charged on credit cards, and even whether you can be hired for certain jobs.
This assignment will allow students to learn more about free credit reports.
INSTRUCTIONS
Review the information on free credit reports from the Federal Trade Commission’s Consumer Information web page. Answer the following quetions:
What is the only authorized source for free credit reports under federal law?
How do you request a free credit report?
Why should you review your credit report?
When reviewing your credit report, what should you look for?
Your paper should be a minimum of 3 complete paragraphs.
Save your Word document as “credit report – your name”.
