The internet can be used as a valuable (and also confusing) tool in nutrition. The student can become familiar with the diversity of internet resources and be able to identify reliable and unreliable sources of nutrition information. The supplement industry makes about 31 BILLION, yes billion dollars on a yearly basis. Crazy right?? You are going to be a web critic and look up a website that markets and sells vitamins. You will then critique the website on the information that is provided to us as consumers.
Instructions:
Search the web for a topic that relates to a vitamin or mineral supplement we may be covering in class. For example, Vitamin C and the common cold.
