Research and explain how literature influences society. Research and cite specific instances in which society changed due to literature. You may choose any form of literature, including a full-length novel, a novella, a short story, a graphic novel, a comic book series, or manga. Poetry may also be considered, however, you will have to assess multiple problems or one poet specifically. You may also limit your focus to a single genre or to the works of one author– be sure you’re not just reporting on the author’s life; you must explain what influence they had on their field or society. The influence you research may be positive or negative, it may reveal / reflect cultural values, or detail societal changes.
