In this milestone, you will submit a draft of the pre-curriculum survey (Section I). In your draft, note the grade that you hope to survey and write seven positive statements that would be potential survey items for each of CASEL’s five SEL competencies. Also, create a four-response Likert scale for the survey questions. Remember that you are looking to force a response, so you must not include neutral or undecided choices. If you are currently in a classroom, you will then administer the survey, describe how you presented it, and discuss the administration of the survey with a particular eye to issues that might present themselves and what you did to ameliorate these potential problems.
If you do not have a class to administer the survey to, you should note a grade that you would like to design the survey for and create the survey with age-appropriate vocabulary.
