Thus far we have read essays ranging from war memorials to grandma’s house. For this assignment analyze one of the essays from chapter 7 of our text. Why does the essay speak to you? What rhetorical modes or devices does the author employ and is it effective? Consider how examples are employed to make the authors case. Is the author effective? Use elements from the essays as evidence for your discussion. Your paper should include quotes from the text as support for your thesis.

An exemplary paper should contain the following;
Recognize the relationship between the purpose of the communication and the identified problem. What is the author trying to tell you explicitly and implicitly? What is the authors argument?
